(If you use a Hollywood/Netflix/commercial TV example you need to back it up! As to WHY! And how you can use the ideas in clip for your own project, realistically.)

- Find 3 different examples of GIF’s -
- One can be whatever fun type of GIF you like (example: pop culture gif, such as Hillary and Shaq doing the shoulder shuffle at each other.)
- Another should be something that has either a deeper conceptual meaning or the prime concern is aesthetic beauty. AN ART GIF! Tumblr is a good resource for beautiful GIFS.
- The third should be an example of the type of GIF you want to make.
- Find 3 examples of animation.
- The first is your favorite animation ever!
- The second should be an artistic or experimental animation. Here is a list of many excellent women animators: http://greatwomenanimators.com/ VIMEO’s Staff picks -- is also a good resource for searching for this type of animation.
- The third should be an animation example that is inspirational and realistic for your project. As in the type of animation you would like to do--stop animation, photo time lapse, digital drawing…...

1.Research an artist who uses appropriation.
While we watched a couple of videos about appropriation there are many more online that feature many other artists.
Find a piece of artwork that you like that uses appropriation. (Not an example I showed in class.)
Write a short paragraph about the artwork. What image are they appropriating? What do you like about the image?
Please include an image of the work and if you watched a video, the link to the video about appropriation.
2. Research a digital collage artist. Dig deeper than the first couple of pages on Google we don't want to see the exact same artists from everyone. Try to find someone whose style and content match your own style and interests.
