Text in Art: Fiona Banner, British artist. I like how she takes advantage of digital tools to create either actual movement or the appearance of movement of the text. The front page of her blog manages to be very dynamic while only changing one letter. She has another piece that is a reference to The Heart of Darkness, but the quote from the book is actually “Mistah Kurtz, he dead.” So, here, the bag is breathing, obviously not dead.

Expressive TextGraffiti by Banksy. I enjoy the irony of this piece of street art. Graffiti is illegal, thereby making the statement that graffiti does bring change, countering the text. It is made to look as if the rat, a symbol of the city underworld, wrote the text. You can see text in the corner that says, “Fuck Banksy.”

Personality FontThis font has a little flair but is a legible. It has a unique flow with just a little edge, but is not harsh. It is also named after a Tolkien character.

Unique/Interesting FontI think that this font is interesting because it is boxy and bold, with some additional lines outside the typical placement to add interest.
